A long-thought extinct Tasmanian tiger may still be alive after it was possibly spotted in a video posted online by a group that believes the thylacine can still be found on mainland Australia
The animal was taped in the Adelaide Hills in February this year with the video posted on Monday on the Facebook page of the Thylacine Awareness Group The video demonstrates an animal with a long, thick tail and what could be stripes on the body and amateur researcher Neil Water says the get-together trusts it is a little thylacine.
"We believe our footage to be footage of a little thylacine moving around through the Adelaide Hills only 20 minutes from the CBD of Adelaide,You can see the body of the animal, it seems to have some sort dull discolouration which may be stripes.
"It has a long, firm, pointy tail. Where the tail interfaces with the body is wide at the base which is normal of the thylacine."
The last known Tasmanian Tiger kicked the holder in the Hobart Zoo in 1936.But there have been various unsubstantiated sightings dependably, some in Tasmania and some on area Australia.
Raised looking for after close to the presentation of canines and the loss of environment have been reproved for the end of the species.
